Our School Board is dedicated to supporting students, parents, guardians and the surrounding community by promoting quality educational opportunities and advocating for Navajo sovereignty in education.

What We Do

The T’iis Nazbas Community School Board works to provide maximum and appropriate educational services for Navajo students. We actively support and advocate for local school boards across the Navajo Nation to ensure schools operate effectively and meet the unique needs of Navajo students.

Our priorities include:

  • Supporting and assisting local and agency school boards in governing Bureau of Indian Education-funded, Tribally Controlled Schools and related educational programs.
  • Advocating for the Navajo Nation’s inherent sovereignty by ensuring maximum educational involvement to shape the nature, practices and procedures of educational programs serving Navajo students.

We are committed to building strong, collaborative relationships with parents, guardians and the community to enhance student success and preserve Navajo culture and values within the education system.

Contact Us

We invite parents, guardians and community members to contact the school board with any questions or concerns. Together, we can continue to ensure that every Navajo student receives the education they deserve.
